ANDREW McLACHLAN

Born and raised in the north of Sydney, Andrew moved to Newcastle at age 17 to pursue music at Newcastle Conservatorium after completing his HSC. Over the next 7 years he would undertake and complete a Bachelor of Music (Honours, Class 1), and a Master of Philosophy (Music). During this time, Andrew played in several bands (both original bands and working bands), performing in Sydney, the Central Coast, Newcastle & the Hunter, the mid-north coast, and Tamworth. Notably, Andrew fronted Newcastle working bands The Dirty Manhattans and The White Band between 2010 and 2014.

Now aged 26, Andrew has sung and played at weddings, functions, wine bars and pubs. Additionally, he has taught guitar, ukulele, bass, and piano since 2011. Having performed as a soloist (vocal & acoustic) since 2009 in Newcastle, Andrew currently performs in Sydney, having had residencies at Sydney venues such as UnWined Bar and Town & Country Bar (where he currently continues his residency). Andrew is also involved in two duos: Andy Kane, where he provides guitar & lead vocals with bass and percussion accompaniment, and A to Z, where he provides guitar and backing vocals with a lead female vocal. These duos are also currently gigging in Sydney and on the Central Coast. Some of the venues Andrew has performed at in 2017 so far (until May) include Town & Country Bar (Cremorne), The Cooks Garden (North Turramurra), The Marrickville Ritz, Ettalong Bowling Club, Empire Bay Tavern, Hornsby Inn, and a host of private functions around Sydney and the Central Coast.
