Opera Bar FAQs
We strongly recommend booking a table. We are operating with a reduced capacity of 300 due to current government restrictions. While we always hold some tables back for walk-ins, the majority of the venue is now bookable for groups of up to 10. Click here to make a reservation.
Our tables operate on a three hour sitting time.
Due to government restrictions, we require everyone to be seated, guests are unable to co-mingle between tables and to ensure social distancing between patrons and tables as well.
We are a short walk from Circular Quay which offers ferry, bus and train access.
Animals aren’t permitted at the Sydney Opera House and its restaurants, however assistance animals accompanying patrons with a disability and our working Seagull Patrol Dogs are welcome on site.
You are welcome to bring celebratory cakes which we will cut and serve.
A charge of $25 per cake will apply.
Our dress code is smart casual.

Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation date will incur a $50 per person charge to the credit card on file. We would prefer not to charge so please contact us with any changes.
At the moment, with government restrictions, we are booking up to 10 guests for 1 booking.
All booking requests and seating requests will be considered however not guaranteed.
Off street parking is available at Wilson Car Park located in the Opera House. There is currently a special offer for $5 parking on evenings and weekends when you book ahead and use the code OPERABAR.

Yes: Site is accessible and there are two accessible toilets available on the Lower Concourse.
Children are welcome whilst in the direct company of their parent.

We only accept photo identification in accordance with the NSW Department of Industry. Digital copies of identification are not accepted (ie photo of passport on phone).
