Farewell 2021 and party into the new year with Opera Bar's world-famous NYE celebration. This year, our ultimate harbour-side party is set to be better than ever. More entertainment than your senses can handle, all your food included, and the Harbour Bridge and Opera House in the background of every photo for full bragging rights!.

 
Kicking off from 6pm, an assembly of some of Sydney’s premier musicians will grace the stage with non-stop live entertainment.
 
Lose yourself in the moment with Sydney’s dazzling harbour and fireworks spectacular (9pm & Midnight) providing the perfect backdrop to ringing in the New Year. 

 

Tickets are $495 per person and include entry to Opera Bar, live entertainment and all food throughout the evening.
 
This is an over 18s only event.
 
Doors open 6:00pm on 31/12/21 and the event concludes at 2:am on 1/1/22

FAQs

What does my ticket include?

Priority entry to the Sydney Opera House precinct, non-stop live entertainment, and food all night.

What time can I get there?

Doors open at 6.00pm. If you arrive before 6.00pm you will be required to queue for entry until the doors open. Ticketholders can come any time after we open however we recommend getting as close to “on time” as possible.

What about dancing, can I dance?

Yes. The current NSW govenment restrictions will allow us to dance the night away.

How much alcohol is included in the ticket?

There is no alcohol included in the ticket price. There will be many bars throughout the venue and drinks are on consumption. Opera Bar practices the responsible service of alcohol.

What is the dress code?

While the event is themed and guests are encouraged to dress up, we have a smart casual dress code. “Dress up” is recommended (a lot of people do) but not compulsory. For this year’s party we are bringing ALL the festival vibes. If you missed Coachella and Glastonbury last year, this is your chance to rock that outfit – think colour and lots of it! 

 

 

I have a dietary requirement - can you cater for me?

Please let us know at least 7 days in advance by email mail@operabar.com.au. You will also need to make yourself known to our food stall staff on the night.

Will there be a cloak room?

There are no cloaking facilities available on the night. It’s summer in Sydney on NYE and generally jackets are not required for warmth.

I need to change the name on my ticket?

Name on ticket may be changed once only after initial purchase, please email mail@operabar.com.au 

Cancellation policy

There are no refunds due to inclement weather, cancellations of fireworks, failure to adhere to any of the ticket information in the terms and conditions. We reserve the right to cancel the event for any reason. In the event of cancellation of the event, we will provide a refund less an amount to cover the cost of ticketing. There will be no refund on any unused tickets. If you or your invitees are asked/forced to leave, if you're unable to attend the event of if the event concludes before the advertised finish time. 

Is this an over 18's event?

This is an over 18’s event, persons under the age of 18 are not permitted. Proof of age identification must be presented before entrance to the event. Identification must match the name on the ticket, entered at the time of purchase.

Is this a seated event?

No this is not a seated event.

How crowded will it be?

Opera Bar will be in compliance with all current government regulations in relation to COVID 19. The event will be vibrant but there will be enough space to feel comfortable.

When does entertainment start?

Entertainment starts at 6pm and continues all night. This year we are highlighting local Sydney talent and supporting those musicians who have had their livelihoods impacted by Covid over the last 2 years. 

How much food is included in the ticket?

There will be multiple food stalls dispensing food all night. There is no limit to how many times you can visit each one.

Does this event allow me access inside the Sydney Opera House?

No. A ticket includes entry to the New Year’s Eve event at Opera Bar, tickets for the New Year’s Eve events inside the Opera House can be purchased through https://www.sydneyoperahouse.com/

How do I get to the Sydney Opera House on NYE?

Access to the opera house is via Macquarie St only. There will be road closures in place. Catching public transport and walking the rest of the way is the best option. With the crowds you should allow an extra hour for travel into the city. The Sydney Opera House car park and public transport will be affected due to road closure.
